| Project-based work takes place in
universities, schools, colleges and youth and community
centres. Courses and projects for young people frequently
take place during holidays and half-term holidays,
weekends or are sometimes extended through sessions
over an entire term. On-going partners are Goldsmiths
University, Central St Martins College
of Art & Design, and the Film
& Video Workshop.
We also hire temporary premises for short courses
to ensure a comfortable and well equipped work environment.
Past venues in London include the Electric
Cinema, Stockwell Studios
and the Hayward Gallery.
polkadotsonraindrops run residential
weeks for young people and adults in collaboration
with The
Arvon Foundation at their creative retreats
all over Britain. We've also run residentials with
Derbyshire Council in Derby; Skyros
Holidays in Greece and Maison Verte
in Roujan, France.
We believe that stimulating environments encourage
imagination and creativity. Participants engage with
each other and shed their creative inhibitions far
quicker when they are away from the normal stress
and worries of day to day life.
